The training is mostly focused on the application of joint locks and the effective control of an attacker. Many other avenues of defense are explored as well as grappling, throwing, and the use of various weapons. It is a street oriented system of defense, used for protection of yourself and others.
Sil-Lum Kung Fu
Sil Lum kung Fu, also known as Shaolin five Animals. This is also a street oriented system of defense, that uses grappling, joint locks, throws, and various weapons. It focuses on building a solid foundation through strong stances, quick hands, fluid motions, and both hard and soft methods of motion.
Tai Chi Chuan
Tai Chi Chuan is a martial art that is taught more like a slow meditative dance to cultivate the internal spirit. But do not forget that it is also a martial art, and when done effectively it is one of the most effective styles around. We teach Tai Chi as a martial art and not just a form of exercise, so we apply the form to practical applications and physical drills.
Modern Arnis
Modern Arnis is a stick fighting martial art that originates in the phillipines. This style was created and perfected by Professor Remy presas. The training starts with the sticks and then translates to empty hand, it was developed to mix well with any martial art. The theory of going with the flow and training with continuously uninterupted motion is the staple of training.
